The HP Deskjet 2652 printer can be connected to a Wi-Fi network although it does not have a control panel. You can connect the device to the network through different ways. We have provided some easy steps in order to perform the connection seamlessly.

Quick steps to set up the HP Deskjet 2652 printer to connect to a network

  • Power ON the machine by pressing the Power button.

  • Insert the software installation disk which is provided in the HP Deskjet 2652 printer package.

  • Wait until the installation setup window opens automatically.

  • Open the CD drive on your computer if the installation window does not get displayed.

  • Make sure the CD inserted is not outdated, and works perfectly.

  • Detach the USB cable before installing the software.

  • Follow the instructions displayed on the screen until the connection window appears.

  • Select the connection as Wireless, and press the Wireless button on the printer’s panel.

Detailed procedure for connecting the HP Deskjet printer to Wi-Fi

  • Since the Deskjet 2652 printer does not have a touch screen control panel, it is not as easy to establish a wireless connection in case of an Officejet or Envy printer.

  • To establish a Wi-Fi connection, you need to set up the hardware and software part successfully.

  • You can use the installation CD that is provided along with your printer to set up the software part.

  • Place the disc into the system's CD drive. Follow the HP Deskjet 2652 instructions until a Connect window appears. Do not press any button on the computer. Now, it’s time for the printer’s panel to get some work done.

  • Turn ON the printer. Long press the Wireless button for a few seconds, and it will start to blink indicating a connection establishment request.

  • Now you need to enter the Wi-Fi password. It can be found in the paper that is provided while establishing your Internet network connection at your place.

  • The password can also be found labeled on the back of your router. If you fail to get it, you need to contact your HP Deskjet 2652 Internet service provider.

  • You can also find the password from any other computer that is already connected to the network.

  • Right-click on the Wireless Network icon tray present at the bottom of your computer screen, and select Open Network and Sharing Center. Choose Change Adapter Settings.

  • Right-click the name of your network, and click on Status. Select Wireless Properties, click Security tab, and select Show Characters.

  • If the wireless light does not blink, press and hold the Power button, and tap the Start Copy Black button twice. Then, tap the Cancel button thrice.

  • Now, release the Power button. The wireless light will start to flicker, and you have to proceed with the installation on the computer now.

  • Click Continue on the Connect window, and follow the HP Deskjet 2652 on-screen instructions.
