Why Does My HP Officejet Pro 8610 Go Offline
The HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer offline error occurs due to poor wireless or wired connection, changes in the print settings, and outdated firmware or driver. Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to resolve the printer offline error.

- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor on your Windows device.
- Install the HPPSdr.exe setup file by running it offline.
- Click Start on the Welcome screen after launching the tool.
- Pick your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer model from the menu displayed.
- Click Retry in case your printer model fails to display.
- Proceed with directions on the screen to resolve the connection problems.
- Scroll down to the bottom and single-click the Fix Printing option.
- Select Yes, when the tool prompts to enable printer updates.
Change The Default Print Settings And Reset The Print Environment
- Link the HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer to a wall power source and power it on. Power on your wireless router and ensure that it is connected to a WAP that has an active internet connection.
- Turn on your computer and click the Start icon on the taskbar. Click the Search tab, type Devices in the box, and press the Enter button. Select the Device and Printers option from the menu displayed on the screen.
- You can also go to the Devices and Printers menu by accessing the Control Panel settings. Double-click the HP printer that is active (indicated by a green colored dot).
- Pick the Set as Default option from the drop-down listing. Restart and enable the Wireless feature on your printer. Wait until the printer’s Wi-Fi connects to your router automatically.
- Print a network test page after the connection establishes. If the issue resolves, continue printing, else, proceed further. Reset the print environment to rectify the printer offline error.
- Changes in the default printer driver occur due to anonymous printer settings. Deactivate the printer and wait for seventeen seconds. Unplug the power cable from the printer’s power port.
- Power off the computer/laptop that you use to print. Disconnect the wireless router from the Wireless Access Point and disable the router’s power connection. Remove the router’s power cable from the socket.
- Re-establish the router’s power connection after a few seconds. Reconnect the router to the WAP and wait until the router’s network light turns active.
- Re-associate the printer with a reliable power supply and power it on. Activate the Wireless function on the printer and connect it to your wireless network.
- Switch on your computer and link it to the same wireless network to which the printer is connected. Print a test report and check whether the issue is resolved.
