How to connect canon wireless printer to laptop
The Canon printer can be connected to laptop by inserting the CD into the drive and installing the setup file. Then run the file and connect the canon printer to the laptop.
To connect Canon printer to laptop:
- Locate the power button for the printer and press it.
- Ensure that the wireless router is in the range of the printer.
- Make sure that the WPS button is ready to be pressed.
- Tap and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the ON lamp flashes.
- Tap the Color button.
- Tap the WPS button on the wireless router within 2 minutes.
- Ensure that the blue light on the Wi-Fi lamp is flashing.
- Check for the network connectivity and thus the process is complete.
Elaborate steps in connecting Canon printer to laptop:
- Insert the CD into the disc drive. When the screen appears select Next.
- Make sure that your printer is plugged ON and also the power lamp is ON and then choose Next.
- Select Connect to the network which is at the right side of the screen.
- Then select Cableless Setup. When the Connection via cableless setup screen appears press the printer’s Wi-Fi button till the orange alarm lamp blink two times and release after the second flash
- Confirm that the blue Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly and the green power lamp is lit. Select Next.
- Choose your region and select Next. Also, click the place of residence and choose Next.
- Choose the software and click Next. Select Yes to agree to the end user license agreement.
- Then the model of the printer and SSID of the network appears. Choose Complete.
- Choose Set up a network connection via USB and then select Next.
- Connect the printer to your laptop using the USB cable. If this is the wireless network you need to connect to, it will be displayed and choose Yes. Click Next -> Complete to finish the process.
