  1. Make sure your HP Envy 4520 printer supports fax feature.

  3. Plug the 1-LINE jack at the back of the HP Envy 4520 printer.
  4. Attach the phone cord into the phone wall jack.
  5. Connect the 2-EXT jack to the printer’s rear if an answering machine is present.
  6. Initialize the settings on the printer’s panel.
  7. Type your name, number in the fax header.

  • Fax: Load the file to be faxed on the ADF or scanner glass. Make sure enough papers are kept in the tray. Enter the receiving fax number on the HP Envy 4520 printer’s operation panel. Tap the Color, Send or Black button to send the fax. A fax report prints, once the fax is sent.
